What do I need to know?

Individuals and Families have many low cost, quality health insurance options available through the Individual Marketplace. Medicare recipients can get help from their state to pay for Medicare Part A (Hospital Insurance) and Part B (Medical Insurance) premiums through a Medicare Savings Program including, and not limited to, deductibles, coinsurance, and copayments.

Medicare is a federal health insurance for people 65 years or older, people with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease. You can enroll in Medicare as early as three months before your 65th birthday, which is the start of the Initial Enrollment Period. Initial Enrollment Period continues all throughout the month of your birthday and ends three months after the months you turn 65 . This means you have seven months to enroll in Medicare during this period.
